Research results show that the average level anxiety child before intervention is 1.73, which includes in category anxiety moderate , whereas after intervention , average level anxiety down to 1.27, which includes in category anxiety light . Background of the Study: Diabetes mellitus is a growing global health problem, including in Indonesia, with a prevalence expected to reach 12% by the year 2025. This disease affects the quality of life and imposes a significant economic burden.
Objectives and Scope of the Paper: The present research investigates how integrated lifestyle modifications encompassing nutritional guidance, physical exercise, psychological counseling, and health literacy affect the well-being of diabetic individuals at the Kagok Public Health Center in Semarang
Methods: The research design used is a quasi-experimental design with two groups of pre-test and post-test. The sample consists of 60 patients with diabetes mellitus divided into an intervention group (n=30) and a control group (n=30). Evaluation was conducted over one month using a self-efficacy questionnaire and measurements of fasting blood glucose levels, blood pressure, and body mass index (BMI). Data analysis was performed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and the Mann-Whitney test for intergroup comparisons.
Results: The study results indicate a significant increase in self-efficacy scores, as well as a decrease in blood glucose levels and blood pressure in the intervention group compared to the control group, with a p-value of < 0.05.
Conclusion: Evidence from this study confirms that integrated lifestyle management significantly bolsters both clinical health outcomes and the perceived quality of life among diabetic populations. These insights serve as a cornerstone for designing specialized training curricula for clinicians and establishing enduring health intervention frameworks within the Indonesian context.

Study background : Effective communication between nurses, especially in the handover process, is an important element in ensuring patient safety and the quality of nursing services. One of the structured communication methods that has proven effective is SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) communication. However, the implementation of SBAR in various hospitals in Indonesia is still not optimal, mainly due to the lack of adequate training for nurses.
Aim : to analyze the effect of nurses' SBAR communication technique training on the application in handover in inpatient settings.
Methods : This study used a literature review method with a structured search strategy based on the PICO/T framework.
Results : The characteristics of nurses who participated in the training were generally 20–30 years old, female, with a D3 or S1 educational background, and had a working period of <10 years. Training methods involving theory, discussion, role play simulation, and hands-on coaching have been shown to be effective in improving nurses' handover communication skills. The results of the analysis showed that SBAR training significantly improved the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of nurses in conveying information in a structured, systematic, and clear manner.
Conclusion : SBAR communication training is effective in improving the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of nurses when weighing. Obstacles to implementation in the field include workload, old habits, and lack of managerial support.

Background: Labor pain and anxiety commonly occur during the active phase of the first stage of labor and may negatively affect maternal comfort and labor progress. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of counterpressure and effleurage techniques in reducing pain and anxiety among women in labor.
Methods: A quasi-experimental comparative design was applied involving 36 women in the active phase of the first stage of labor at Hermina Banyumanik Hospital, Semarang. Participants were divided into counterpressure and effleurage intervention groups. Pain intensity was measured using the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS), and anxiety was assessed using the Visual Analog Scale for Anxiety (VAS-A). Data were analyzed using paired and independent t-tests.
Results: Both counterpressure and effleurage significantly reduced pain and anxiety levels (p < 0.05). Effleurage showed a greater reduction in pain compared to counterpressure, while no significant difference was found between the two techniques in reducing anxiety.
Conclusion: Counterpressure and effleurage are effective non-pharmacological interventions for reducing pain and anxiety during labor. Effleurage may be more effective for pain reduction.

Background of study: This study examines the legal and administrative challenges faced by hospitals in providing BPJS Health services to abandoned children without a National Identification Number (NIK) in Indonesia. Despite constitutional guarantees of healthcare for all citizens, the absence of explicit regulatory mechanisms for patients without formal identification creates significant financial and operational risks for healthcare providers.
Aims and scope of paper: The research aims to analyze the policy gaps in the BPJS Health system regarding coverage for abandoned children without NIK and to assess the resulting implications for hospital operations and health equity. It focuses on evaluating existing regulations and their implementation through a health policy framework.
Methods: A qualitative policy analysis was conducted using Walt & Gilson's Policy Triangle framework (context, process, actors, content) and the concept of health equity. Data were collected through a comprehensive review of legal documents, government regulations, academic literature, and reports on BPJS claim processes
Result: The analysis reveals significant regulatory gaps, as current policies do not explicitly include abandoned children without NIK as eligible beneficiaries. Hospitals face substantial administrative barriers, with 61.39% of claim delays attributed to incomplete documentation. Services for these children are often categorized as unfunded emergency or social care, creating financial strain on healthcare facilities and inconsistent access for vulnerable populations.
Conclusion: The study concludes that clear legal instruments and standardized operational procedures are urgently needed to protect hospitals, ensure transparent claim mechanisms, and guarantee equitable healthcare access for abandoned children without NIK. Policy reforms should address both administrative requirements and systemic coordination among stakeholders to achieve true universal health coverage.

Background of study: Stunting remains a persistent public health challenge, particularly in community settings where inadequate maternal practices during the first 1,000 days of life contribute to impaired child growth and development. Community nursing interventions that integrate home visits with interactive educational approaches are increasingly recognized as effective strategies to improve caregiving behaviors related to stunting prevention.
Aims and scope of paper: This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of community nursing home visits using interactive educational media in improving maternal practices for stunting prevention among caregivers of children aged 0–24 months.
Methods: A quasi-experimental study with a one-group pretest–posttest design was conducted in Desa Pintu Langit Jae, Angkola Julu Subdistrict, Padangsidimpuan City, Indonesia. A total of 63 mothers or primary caregivers were selected using purposive sampling. The intervention consisted of home visits conducted by community nurses using interactive educational media, including videos, guided discussions, and practical demonstrations, over a four-week period. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and observation checklists and analyzed using descriptive statistics and paired samples t-test.
Result: The results showed a significant improvement in maternal practice scores after the intervention. The mean pretest score was 56.42 (SD = 8.73), increasing to 74.86 (SD = 7.95) in the posttest, with a statistically significant difference (p < 0.001).
Conclusion: Community nursing home visits integrated with interactive educational media are effective in improving maternal practices related to stunting prevention and offer a practical, evidence-based approach for strengthening community health programs in resource-limited settings.

Background of study: The aging process in older adults is accompanied by musculoskeletal changes that frequently manifest as joint pain, impairing daily functioning, independence, and overall quality of life. Non-pharmacological interventions are increasingly explored, with tera exercise—a light exercise emphasizing stretching, joint mobility, flexibility, circulation, and relaxation—emerging as a promising approach.
Aim : This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of tera exercise in reducing joint pain among elderly residents of a private nursing home in Jakarta, thereby providing empirical evidence for its role as a non-pharmacological intervention to improve musculoskeletal health and quality of life.
Methods: A quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach was employed. Using purposive sampling, 20 respondents were recruited. Joint pain levels were measured using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) before and after a two-week tera exercise program conducted three times per week. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test.
Result: Prior to the intervention, 10 respondents (50%) reported mild to moderate pain, while 10 respondents (50%) experienced severe to very severe pain. After the intervention, 17 respondents (85%) reported mild to moderate pain, and only 3 respondents (15%) remained in the severe to very severe category. Statistical analysis yielded a p-value < 0.05 and a Z-score of -2.646, indicating a significant reduction in joint pain.
Conclusion: Tera exercise is an effective non-pharmacological strategy for alleviating joint discomfort and improving musculoskeletal health among older adults in nursing home settings. However, limitations include the small sample size and absence of a control group. Future studies should employ larger samples, randomized controlled designs, longer observation periods, and examine additional factors such as physical activity, psychological status, and pharmacological therapies.
