Scope: The Journal of Health Empowerment and Interprofessional Practice (JHEIP) is a peer-reviewed international journal dedicated to advancing knowledge and practice in health and nursing, with a strong emphasis on community empowerment and collaborative interprofessional approaches. The journal provides a platform for the publication of original articles, case studies, reviews, and research that contribute to the development of holistic healthcare knowledge and practice.

The journal's scope encompasses:

  1. Community Health: Community-based interventions, health promotion, disease prevention, and public health policy advocacy.
  2. Nursing & Midwifery Practice: Innovation of care practices in a variety of settings (community, hospital, primary–tertiary), including maternal & neonatal care, evidence-based nursing, and clinical education.
  3. Obstetrics and Reproductive Health: Research in antenatal, perinatal, postnatal, family planning, and women's empowerment services in reproductive health.
  4. Medical-Surgical Nursing: Acute and chronic patient management, technology development in surgery, and interdisciplinary care.
  5. Health Management & Leadership: Health information systems, hospital management, clinical and community management policies and innovations.
  6. Critical and Emergency Care: Critical nursing response, patient stabilization, and integration of medical teams in emergency management.
  7. Pediatric Health: Child nutrition, growth and development, immunization, and family-based health services.
  8. Interprofessional Collaboration: Collaboration between professions such as midwives, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other health workers in services and research.

The aim of JHEIP is to:

  1. Promote the dissemination of evidence-based research in the fields of health empowerment, interprofessional practice, and community-based healthcare.
  2. Serve as a leading journal in fostering collaboration across health disciplines, bridging research, practice, and policy.
  3. Provide a platform for innovative, community-driven, and patient-centered healthcare models, strategies, and interventions.
  4. Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge-sharing among healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers, and communities.
  5. Contribute to the advancement of nursing, midwifery, and other health professions' education and practice, ensuring the application of research in real-world settings.
